For the people who come to help us we offer free transportation there and back, we come together in one car. Then during the stay free bed&board. We eat well, decent amount of seafood, locally grown veggies, regional cheeses etc. Concerning accommodation, for first two stays we plan to be in caravans and tents with dry toilet and out door shower (again hot water planned). For the last stay in November we are considering renting a house, lets see about that. | For the people who come to help us we offer free transportation there and back, we come together in one car. During our stay we work at least four days per week, who wants can do five, so two or three days off for personal activities. Most of the time we will be harvesting apples on our knees. At the end of the stay we will bring the 25 kg bags of apples to the cidrerie and do the transformation, crashing and pressing. Of course we will taste plenty of different ciders, some pommeau and some spirits. Everyone who comes and give a hand will get some liquid presents for the efforts. | During our stay we work at least four days per week, who wants can do five, so two or three days off for personal activities. Here you will find soon more info about our plans for harvesting and transformation of apples during 2024 in Normandie and Czech Republic.
Normandie
There will be very likely three trips of ten day length each with around two weeks of pause in between. The schedule is so far like this :
- first, 24/9 - 3/10/2024
- second, 22/10 - 31/10/2024
- third, 19/11 - 28/11/2024

For the last stay in November we are considering renting a house, lets see about that. Our base will be in the area of Vale de Saire.

Czech Republic
This will be first time when we are going to organize harvesting and transformation of apples in Czech Republic, except when we made dried apples, křížaly. The activities will happen maybe sometimes on Sunday, however mostly during the working week, Saturday just exceptionally because of sale events on that day. We will be harvesting and pressing where the conditions will be best. We will be starting after 3rd of October but rather later like mid of October so there is higher chance for lower temperature which is better for the fermentation. We hope that we can do most of these activities around Kout na Šumavě where we have a base.
