Greetings to all from, surprise, sunny Normandie! It seems like that the beginning of the season will be quite warm and sunny which is quite nice for the preparations of the orchards and the first passing. Hopefully the temperature will go quite down by end of October and definitely from second half of November when it is really important for the fermentation. With Leon we have arrive on 25th of September and started to settle down. The 5x10 Food Hacking Base (fhb) tent is up, big preparation and stove table are done, before the end of the next week we will probably add one nice shelf system and bit of floor. Fridge and most of the appliances are already in and working so for this season the kitchen is quite equipped. Concerning sleeping arrangements we have two caravans ready, one is used by me, František/Algoldor, one person more fits in if needed and the other one is empty. We have to do cleaning and reorganization of that one, it has bathroom and it is bigger. At the moment it is OK to also sleep outside in the tent, there is plenty of space. I will try to get one or two in Aide au Confort pout tous. People who would like to join in, please let me know so we can plan. As mentioned before I offer bed and board. We are serving fine food suitable for meat eaters, vegetarians and even vegans. Of course we do have wide selection of ciders to taste and experiment with. If you come you will enjoy and even learn how to manage harvest of the orchards, pressing of apples and basics of cider making. If you can make it, October is weather wise better than November but it is up to you.
