For the people interested in volunteering with us, there is another trip to Normandie planned from Central Europe, leaving date 28th of July if possible, return 5th or 6th of August. [[Season_2023_volunteers|Here]] you can find more info about what to expect, the page will be further developed in time. The cider season will officially start around 16th -18th of September and will go on till end of November. During this period volunteering is especially appreciated. First two weeks, when quite a bit of help is needed are dedicated to preparations of the orchards, grass cutting, first passage and setting up our living quarters for the season. Peak of the fall season is around mid till end of October, so since half of October till mid of November is the second "charged" part when any hands come useful.

Where to start, where to start. We visited a nice happening in Netherlands, TBD Not a Camp hacker event promoting our ciders and cooking for the participants. Last weekend we did "Císařské Slavnosti" in Kdyně and tomorrow we will do farmers market there (it went really nicely even when less people come than usual as I've been told, met many people I knew since childhood and haven't seen for decades in some cases). For the ones living in Prague/Praha, you can meet us at the famous Farmářský trh Náplavka (farmers market) next Saturday from 8h00 till 14h00. That would be quick overview of recent activities.

For the people interested in volunteering with us, there is another trip to Normandie planned from Central Europe, leaving date 28th of July if possible, return 5th or 6th of August, more information is shared here. Here you can find more general info you can find more info about what to expect, the page will be further developed in time.

Now for the ones who would like to get bit extra cider education in audio form and are fine with English, you can check out Cider Chat Podcast. I have found for example episode 372: The Science Behind Spontaneous Fermentation given by Hugues Guichard from IFPC (Institut Français des Productions Cidricoles) particularly interesting.

That would be enough for today, have a great time and enjoy your summer somewhere cool!
